After more than 20 years in IT and several positions in the port businesses, Michel LE VAN KIEM has been working as Chief Development & Innovation Officer of Grand Port Maritime de Bordeaux since 2019.
He is responsible for changing the business model of the port of Bordeaux, which must adapt its activities to the necessary reduction in the use of fossil resources and to the climate change. He is currently working on the development of a low-carbon industrial port area based on three pillars: circular economy, local resources and green hydrogen.
Finally, he leads the digital transformation of the port.
He holds a Master of Business Administration and is a software engineer from ENSEIRB-MATMECA.
