Bertrand Charmaison is an expert in energy economics and holds a PhD in industrial economics from Toulouse School of Economic. Bertrand has more than twenty years’ operational experience in the energy sector, gained in industrial groups where he held positions of responsibility in strategy, business development and setting up innovative projects. He joined CEA in 2021 to head I-Tésé, CEA Research Institute in energy economics. I-Tésé studies the economics and sustainability of the energy transition towards carbon neutrality. To this end, I-Tésé is developing a systemic vision that looks at changes in energy demand and consumption patterns, low-carbon production and storage technologies, and the resources needed to implement these technologies.
