Electrical Vehicle Lithium-ion batteries advanced Recycling process: from research to industrial reality
✦ Thursday December, 1st – 17:00
Véronique PERES
R&D Project Manager and Fellow Expert – Orano
I’m in charge of R&D projects in the common lab Orano/CEA Liten in Grenoble. We focus on circular economy dedicated to strategical metals valorization. We develop some innovative technologies and processes for the recycling of Lithium- ion batteries and permanent magnets used in electrical vehicles. I belong to the Orano team of fellow experts as a specialist of nuclear fuels.
Education:
- PhD, INP Grenoble and CEA
- HDR, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint Etienne

Marlène CHAPUIS
Head of process and materials valorization technologies for new and renewable energies, CEA-Liten
Marlène CHAPUIS graduated from Electrochemistry Engineering school (INP Grenoble – 2008). She spent 2 years in RIO TINTO ALCAN industry Research center dedicated to aluminum production by electrolysis process-Activities on New materials development for R&D potlining. Then joined CEA-LITEN institute to manage during 6 years a team dedicated to Lithium ion Batteries components development. Since 2018, is in charge of a new lab, comprising the recycling activity addressing the end of life of technologies developed in CEA-Liten (Lithium ion batteries, Fuel cells, PV solar panels, …)
