Research Engineer, Reactors and processes conception, CEA-Liten
Converting CO2 emissions into sustainable chemicals and fuels
✦ Thursday December, 1st – 11:47
Dr. Carlotta Panzone graduated from Politecnico of Turin in 2017 in Chemical and Sustainable Processes Engineering. After a short experience as Product Industrialisation Engineer at Sargomma Srl where she worked on the conception and optimisation of products and processes of the automotive industry, she joined the CEA-LITEN in 2018 for her PhD in collaboration with the University of Lyon. During her PhD, obtained in 2021, she worked on the carbon dioxide catalytic conversion, studying the experimental behaviour, the mechanism and the kinetics of the catalytic reaction, developing numerical models to describe the reactor behaviour and simulating the global process towards its industrial application.
She is now a Research Engineer in the Thermal, Conversions and Hydrogen Department and works mainly on the conception of novel reactors for Carbon Utilisation and Hydrogen Storage and Transport technologies.
